The Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) April 2018

The Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR), which is being held in support of the 11th Special Olympics Australia National Games, is taking place in Mt Barker and Victor Harbor today.

SA Police employees – both sworn officers and non-sworn staff – will this week participate in the torch run as Guardians of the Flame of Hope, running alongside Special Olympics athletes.

The Games are being held in and around Adelaide between Monday 16 April and Friday 20 April, with more than 1000 athletes, 700 support or coaching staff and 3000 friends and family in attendance.

The LETR, which was in Port Pirie and Clare yesterday, takes place in stages, until the final leg when the Flame of Hope will be delivered to the Special Olympics Opening Ceremony at Titanium Stadium in Findon on Monday 16 April.

FCT Flames manufactured the torches and the cauldrons used in the Law Enforcement Torch Run. We are proud to be associated with this fabulous event.
